How to find the Transporter Bridge
The Bridge is currently open only for special events, as a major programme of repair and restoration is due to begin. The Visitor Centre is also closed for rebuilding. Keep an eye out for details of these events by checking our news page, or via Facebook.
From either Junction 24 or Junction 28 of the M4 take the A48 dual carriageway (Southern Distributor Road) which runs right past the Bridge. Using satellite navigation, the approximate postcode is NP20 2SS.
The nearest bus service is Newport Transport No 40/41 from the City Centre.
